In February, residential sales increased by 20.1% year-on-year.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has released the Housing Sales Statistics for February 2025. According to the data, a total of 112,818 houses were sold across Turkey in February, marking a 20.1% increase compared to the same month last year. The provinces with the highest sales were Istanbul with 19,347 sales, Ankara with 10,791, and Izmir with 6,899. Conversely, the provinces with the lowest sales were Ardahan with 24, Tunceli with 70, and Bayburt with 73.
In the January-February period, housing sales rose by 29.1% year-on-year to reach 224,991. The increased demand in the housing market has led to a noticeable upward trend both monthly and annually, particularly in major cities. The rise in mortgage sales, which increased by 90.1% to 16,778 in February, indicates a continued demand for housing linked to interest rate trends.
