The environmental impact assessment (EIA) process has begun for the capacity increase project of the sugar factory planned to be built in Niğde by Bor Şeker.

The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process has begun for the capacity increase project of the sugar factory planned to be built in Niğde by Bor Şeker. An announcement on the website of the General Directorate of Environmental Impact Assessment, Permission, and Supervision provided the following information:

"The sugar factory capacity increase, fertilizer production facility capacity increase, and chocolate-wafer-bar production facility project planned by BOR ŞEKER A.Ş. at No:67/A, Bor Cad, Şeker Mah. in the Niğde province of Bor district, has been reviewed in accordance with Article 8 of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulation. It has been determined that the EIA application file is prepared in accordance with the General Format, and the EIA process for the project has been initiated. Until the completion of the Environmental Impact Assessment process, all information regarding the process, as well as comments, questions, and suggestions related to the project, can be sent to the Niğde Governorship (Directorate of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change) or the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change."
