Investing.com — Swedish telecommunications operator Tele2 (ST:TEL2b) AB is considering selling its wireless towers in the Baltic region. According to sources close to Bloomberg, the sale, which includes towers in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, could generate approximately €500 million ($542 million).

Tele2 is exploring the potential sale of a significant part of its telecommunications infrastructure in collaboration with Perella Weinberg Partners. Sources wishing to remain anonymous due to the confidential nature of the information indicated that the sales process has recently commenced. Private equity firms may show interest in this potential deal. However, discussions are ongoing and may not necessarily lead to a transaction. In response to a query about the potential sale, a Tele2 spokesperson stated, "We are always exploring various opportunities to strengthen our business," but refrained from further comments. A representative from Perella Weinberg also declined to comment on the matter.
